Getting to Drake Bay
Costa Rica's tourism board (ICT) says you can arrive by boat from Sierpe, by a domestic flight of about 40 minutes from San José, or by road in about 7 to 8 hours. Ask your lodge which way works for you.
Where boats leave from
Tours leave from the beach in Drake Bay, usually early in the morning. Many lodges help with pickup.

Good to know
- Space can be tight: one operator lists 20 snorkel spots per day. Book early in busy months.
- Park fees: check if they're included. One operator here includes them with dives.
- No landing on Caño Island: SINAC, the national parks agency, allows snorkeling and diving in the water but not going ashore.
